2022 AVL ROUND 2 - NSW PHOENIX vs QLD PIRATES

Round 2 saw NSW Phoenix get their first taste of AVL. While there are a few experienced players who have been involved in AVL before for some athletes this was their first ever game of senior indoor volleyball. This was also the first time Phoenix have played AVL.

Our NSW Youth Phoenix take flight tomorrow… NSW Phoenix athletes and coaches have been prepping for months for this special moment. Tomorrow, we are off to Bendigo with 12 Youth Phoenix Teams, representing NSW at the Australian Youth Volleyball Championships 2022 (AYVC). Who is excited? This year in addition to our Team Captains, we have also selected two athletes to be our Phoenix Team Captains leading our NSW Youth Phoenix Program into competition.

Stefie Fejes, representing Australia at Volleyball World Champs 2022

Izmir, Turkey, is getting ready to host beach volleyball players from all over the world this week at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships, 14-18 September 2022. Its set to be one epic volleyball event, and our very own NSW athlete, Stefie Fejes, will be representing Australia in the U19s. Stefie and her partner are the only team from Australia who have gained a spot for the main draw.

Introducing the New National Integrity Framework

Volleyball NSW is pleased to announce its partnership with Sport Integrity Australia and the adoption of the National Integrity Framework and associated integrity policies. This is an important step in protecting our sport and our members from integrity threats like harassment, bullying, abuse, illicit drugs and competition manipulation.

NSW PHOENIX TEAM SELECTION - AUSTRALIAN YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to all athletes selected to represent NSW at the upcoming Australian Youth Volleyball Championships! Athletes will compete against the best from around the country from the 25th-29th of September at Bendigo Stadium in Bendigo, Vic. Check out the Volleyball Australia app for more information.

New Beach Portfolio Manager

Welcome to our new Beach Volleyball Portfolio Manager Volleyball NSW are excited to announce our newest member of the team, coming in hot from Queensland and ready to hit the sand running this beach season. Francisco has spent the last few summers working for Volleyball Australia and Volleyball Queensland in event operations whilst studying a Masters in Sports Management.

Dan Catchpoole, Moving Mountains in Volleyball

Dan Catchpoole has been hitting the peaks of volleyball in the Blue Mountains from driving the inclusion of volleyball in the Western Sydney Academy of Sport (WSAS), to organising multiple Spikeroos programs, socials comps, and team tours.
