Well we did it - this past weekend we saw the end to the 22/23 Beach Volleyball Season!
It was a massive success with the highest level players both within and out of the state competing to take home the Gold. Hosted at Manly Beach, teams were pulling out all the stops and we had plenty of 3-set games with nail biting finishes that left all of us at the edge of our seats. 

VNSW congratulate all teams and players for their efforts this past weekend, and all other BVT Rounds before as well.

The past weekend we completed the last BVT Round before Champs - and it was another success!
On Saturday we saw some beautiful weather with minimal wind until the late afternoon and on Sunday we had a few rain showers in the morning but clearing up in time for Semis and Finals. As usual, there was some great games and close matches with Saturday having the most 3 setter games we've seen during the whole Tour.

Under 19 Men and Under 19 Women

The past weekend we had the first event of 2023!
We kicked off the year with Round #5 of the BVT in Newcastle, and although we had a very rainy and miserable day on Saturday we finished the weekend with some blue skies and lots of sunshine. . 

Newcastle also had our biggest group of Youth & Junior athletes competing in the BVT, and partaking in the Talent ID and performance camps run by the Pathways Team, which was a huge success. 

We have now concluded this year's Beach Volleyball Tournaments!

After a busy Friday with a sudden location change and a delayed start to set up - we were still able to run another successful tournament! With only 3 more beach tournaments to go we are very excited to start 2023 with another great season of beach volleyball!

Next stop is Newcaste, Nobby's Beach where the VNSW Pathways Department will be running a Talent ID for Beach Youth Phoenix and several holiday training camps. Youth divisions will include U15, U17, U19 and U23 for each gender.

Well we did it! We are very happy to annouce that Round 3 of the BVT was a success! 

And we could have not done it by ourselves - the help that our community offered was essential in ensuring that we ran a competition that was worthwhile for our players and their families. With the great weather that we had, the community and of course some great beach volleyball action, this was one of our best events yet!

We'll see you for the next one in Wollongong on the 10th & 11th December! 

Round 2 of the BVT is now over! This past weekend we saw our youngest athletes take to the stage - the youngest being only 7 years old! For many this was their first time playing beach volleyball with them only starting to play indoor this past year in the Under 14 division in JSVL. A massive congratulations to all, we applaud all their efforts and can't wait to see what else they have in store for us in the next upcoming BVT rounds.

The first round of the Beach Volleyball Tour for the 2022-2023 season has now come to an end!

It was a great competition to start off the beach tour, welcoming back some of the experienced volleyball athletes and also seeing new faces join in on the fun in Division 4! 
A massive congratulations to all the players who joined us over the weekend. We hope to see you all soon in the upcoming Rounds as well. Our next stop is Mollymook!
