Junior Phoenix Indoor trials are designed for athletes who wish to represent NSW at the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships (AJVC) .

AJVC is an event which sees the separation of the Under 19 and Under 23 age group divisions from the past “Australian Junior Volleyball Championships. Traditionally the AJVC hosted Under 17, Under 19 and Under 23 (2001 and younger) age groups and was restricted in entry to only state representative teams from around Australia and New Zealand.

The AJVC will be expanded to include teams from any affiliated state, association, club, training academy or international federation in under 19 and under 23 (2001 and younger) age groups.

Important Information

Location of trials: Netball Central

Who: Athletes born 2001 and younger

Time: 1pm - 7pm. Specific times to be confirmed for individual age groups.

Trial Cost: $30 + Transaction Fee (does not contribute to program cost if you are successful)

What to wear: Volleyball NSW will not be providing trial uniforms, please wear something appropriate to move and play in.

Junior Phoenix Program

Once selected, athletes will be selected into Squad/Team phase with trainings on every Saturday starting from 13th of May until the commencement of AJVC on 7th of July. 

Training camps will also include feature matches on June 10th, June 24th and July 1st. 

July 3rd and 4th, Junior athletes will have the opportunity coaching at a new kids camp to reduce their levy. Any Junior athletes who wish to coach will need to ba availiable from 9am to 3pm on those dates. 

AJVC is set to take place yet again in Netball Central in Olympic Park, Sydney from 7th of July until 9th of July.
