Beach Coach Education Event

This event is free with open registration to current, past and future beach volleyball coaches in our community. The goal of this session is to build a higher degree of understanding in beach volleyball training and game play while connecting local athlete development with the Beach Phoenix vision. 

It is highly recommended that any coach interested in coaching Youth Beach Phoenix attend. This will be interactive with open discussions and small group breakouts to foster a rich learning environment for local, club and Phoenix coaches alike. Indoor coaches are welcome to attend as the learning and development concepts apply to both disciplines of the sport.

Saturday November 4^th 9AM-3:30PM in lecture room 2 @ Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen

9AM Arrival and social with fruit, tea and coffee

9:15-9:30AM Welcome and Day Intro

9:30-10AM – Youth Beach State Team Program

10-11AM - Education session #1 – Game/Constraints Based Learning

11-12PM – Small Group discussion and workshop #1 – Application of Game based learning concepts

12-1PM – Lunch Break (lunch not provided)

1-1:45PM Education Session #2 – Phoenix Playing Style (Chris)

1:45-2:15PM Group Discussion #2 – Developing the Phoenix playing style in training and competition

2:15-3PM Working Group #2 – Talent Identification and Athlete selection for Youth Phoenix Athletes

3-3:15PM- Next Steps and Closing remarks
