NSW BVT Round 6 NSW Beach Championships - Manly Beach

Registration info:

  • To participate in this event, you must be a registered Volleyball NSW member. If you are not registered, then CLICK HERE before trying to register for this event. 
    A Full Adult or Full U/18 membership is required. 
  • INTERSTATE ATHLETES need to send an email to competitions@volleyballnsw.com.au with their respective state volleyball membership information to be able to register. 
  • Team registration, only one player needs to do the proceess. 
  • Add your partner’s name to "DIVISION PARTNER".

Competition information:

The BVT tournaments are a 2-day event that starts with modified pool play and Round of 12 from 8:00 to 18:00. Quarterfinals, Semi-finals and finals will be played on Sunday from 8:00 to 17:00.

  • 16 teams per division. 
  • The TCC reserves the right to amend any Competition Rules, Match Formats, or the Event Structure in the lead-up to, or during an event should unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather) occur
  • The format will be modified pool play (guarantee a minimum of 3 matches), then single elimination.
  • Set format is 21-21-15 (change of ends 7-7-5). Matches are won when a team wins 2 sets. Sets are not capped and must be won with a 2-point margin.
  • Single elimination progression out of the pools will be the following:
    • The teams who finish first in the pool move straight to Quarter Finals on Sunday
    • The teams that finish 2nd in their pool will play against a team that finished third in a different pool, the Round of 12 match to decide who qualifies for Sunday.
    • The teams who finish 3rd in their pool will play against a team that finished second in a different pool the R-12 match to decide who qualifies for Sunday.
    • The teams who finish 4th in their pool will play against another team who finished fourth in another pool to finish the competition in the 13th or 15th position.
  • Teams will enter the event and be seeded based on the National Ranking System from 1st to end, with the top 16 teams into Division 1, 17th to 32nd into Division 2, 33rd to 49th into Division 3 and so on.
