The 2025 Preseason Challenge is an opportunity for volleyball teams to compete against one another in a one day, multi-game format.
DIVISIONS:
This event will comprise the following divisions & will be capped at TBA teams per division.
- DIVISION 2 MEN (TBA Teams)
- DIVISION 2 WOMEN (TBA Teams)
MATCHES:
Minimum three (3) games per team.
All Round Games are timed best of five (5), 60 minutes incl. ten minute warm-up.
All Finals Games (play offs, semis) are timed best of three (3), 60 minutes incl. ten minute warm-up.
All Finals Games (grand finals) are untimed best of three (3).
REGISTRATION:
Team entrants (Clubs/Associations) MUST be affiliated with VNSW or interstate equivalent. This competition is not open to non-affiliated clubs and players.
Team entry is limited to one (1) team per division.
Regional clubs will be provided with an exclusive registration window prior to public registrations opening.
Exclusive Regional Club Early Registration (via email) - If you are a regional NSW club interested in attending please email VNSW no later than 11:59 PM Saturday 8 Feb.
Public Registration (online above) - 9:00 AM Sunday 9th February - 11:59 PM Sunday 9th March.
PARTICIPANTS:
Participants MUST be at least a 2024 recreation member of VNSW.
Players may only play for ONE team. Players are not allowed to play down from the division they would usually play in i.e. 2024 SVL Division 2 athlete cannot play in Division 3 State Cup.
All teams are required to perform Duty during the event.
COST:
$TBA incl. GST per team
Deposit at time of entry $70 per team + transaction fees (non-refundable).
FINAL PAYMENTS WILL BE REQUIRED 48 HOURS AFTER PUBLIC REGISTRATION CLOSES.
PLEASE NOTE NO AWARDS, TROPHIES OR MEDALS ARE AWARED FOR PRESEASON CHALLENGE TOURNAMENTS.
All Preseason Challenge Competitions are organised and run using the State Cup Indoor Rules & Regulations and the FIVB Volleyball Rules which can be found on the Volleyball NSW website. Furthermore, all indoor volleyball events offered by VNSW are done so under the overarching policies and procedures of Volleyball Australia.
