Welcome to the biggest beach event on the Volleyball NSW calendar - The 2022 NSW Beach Volleyball Championships.

This tournament will see 96 of the best teams throughout NSW and beyond battle it out for their share of the prize pool, well sought after ABVRS Ranking Points and the most prestigious bragging rights of Season 2021/22.

This tournament will take 48 teams from each gender. Top 24 Seeded teams will make up Division 1, Seeds 25-48 will make up Division 2 and any other teams will be placed on a Reserve List, to be offered a place in the main draw should any team withdraw.

There is no qualification tournament, with direct entry for these top 48 teams purely based on ABVRS Points. Any nominated teams on the Reserve List that do not participate in the tournament will receive a full refund of their entry fees within 14 days of the tournament.

The format of the competiton will look as follows:

All Divisions will play on 21/21/15 and change at 7/7/5

• Day 1 pool play
• Day 2 Single elimination (Top 12)
• Teams are seeded in pools of 4 following the serpentine technique.

We will be using the Australian Beach Volleyball Tour single-elimination format.

• 1st of each Pool will qualify directly to Quarterfinal
• 2nd of each pool will be drawn
• 3rd of each pool will be drawn

We anticipate a mid - late afternoon finish on Sunday 27 February. 

As per the NSW Beach Tour Event Regulations 2021/22 entry to this tournament is based on your best 5 ABVRS results since 01 July 2020.

Nominations for this event are open to all VNSW Platinum Members (or interstate equivalent).

Uniforms are included in entry fee. We will endeavour to cater to all sizing requests but this will occur on a first in best dressed basis.
