Inaugural Senior Phoenix Head Coaches Announced

After a successful initial induction period, Volleyball NSW is pleased to publicise that three Head Coaches have been selected for the inaugural Senior Phoenix Indoor Volleyball Program. These distinguished coaches will be working together to create a new era of performance volleyball in NSW.
Max Gubbiotti (Head Coach – Technical) brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from his time in the Italian professional leagues. Having recently moved to Australia in 2018, Max has also been deeply involved in Volleyball within NSW in the GPS Schools system (Sydney Grammar and Scots College), Sydney Volleyball League (UTS and USYD) and Australian Volleyball League (UTSSU).
Alexander Minchin (Head Coach – Female) joins as the current Technical Director of Santa Sabina College and the recent Head Coach of the UNSW Women’s Program. In a coaching and playing career spanning a number of years, Alexander also brings with him valuable international experience having previously coached within programs in France and the UK.
Ian Garrett (Head Coach – Male) brings his background as a performance high jump coach to combine it with his growing volleyball coaching experience. His recent coaching appointments include positions within the Volleyball Australia JDP, Australian Volleyball League (UTSSU), NSW Junior State Teams, and Sydney Volleyball League (SNV).
