The past weekend we saw an end to our JuniourSydney Volleyball League as we finishied off the Under 18's on Friday night and the Under 16's on Sunday morning. The impressive junior talent was on show as we had some great games and close finishes to the season which emphasised all the hard work that they put in throughout the season. 

The Under 18's Girls Division 1 Gold medal match UTS vs Endeavour, was a showstopper that finished with a UTS win, but the fight was non-stop as Endeavour did not make it an easy win and pushed till the end. The Under 18 Boys Division 1 Gold medal match (Acers vs UTS) was a game that also went down to the wire, finishing on 3 sets as neither team were backing down. The crowd were tossing up between who would win but Acers finally took Gold in the last desisive set!

There was a nail biting finsih to our Under 16 Boys Division 1 - both the Bronze (Just Spike It vs Sydney United Blue) and Gold (Acers vs Sydney United White) medal matches went to a third set, and all teams put up a hard fight. But it was Sydney United that walked away with both medals that day. Leading to a total of six junior medals including their Silver from their Under 16 Girls Division 1 team and three Bronze medals from their Under 18 teams.

A massive congratulations to all clubs and athletes. With each year the junior tournament is increasing in size and talent. We can't wait to see what the new batch of juniour have in store for us!
