NSW Champs: Our Biggest Event To Date!

Last weekend, Volleyball NSW held its annual NSW Champs at the iconic Manly Beach, and whilst the weather was questionable, the talent on show and the atmosphere on the sand was electric. This years edition of the NSW Champs was our biggest event to date. The events hosted a massive 192 teams, 398 participants, playing across six divisions, in both men and women competitions, on 24 courts! This is a huge step up from last year's edition of the event, with 128 teams participating. Despite the subpar weather, it was amazing to see so many locals from Manly, supporting and cheering on our players,

This years event showcased athletes of all levels, from Olympians, up-and-coming juniors, those who play for fun and even some athletes who are a part of the Australian National Development pathway. It was extraordinary to have two NSW athletes and Manly locals, Izac Carracher (Paris Olympian) and Stefie Fejes, be a part of the action. It was wonderful to have them return to the place where they grew up playing beach volleyball, as well as have them support and boost the quality of our event!

This years NSW Champs also showcased our new 2024 NSW Champs playing uniform design. This years design was created and voted on by our NSW community. It was awesome to receive so many designs from members of our community and to see the vision come to life, safe to say the design looked even better in action on the sand! Shoutout to Zuzanna Robutka for creating this years iconic design! Also, big thanks to Valour for working with us and our community to improve our beach crop style as well as bringing this years design to life.

Final shoutout to three time Olympic beach volleyballer and Volleyball NSW board member Julien Prosser for providing exceptional commentary during the division1 finals on show court.
