NSW Duo finish 4th at Asian U19 Beach Volleyball Championships

The dynamic NSW duo of Jett Rocker-Graham and Killian Donovan have finished just off the podium in the Men's Asian U19 Beach Volleyball Championships in Roi-Et, Thailand. Under the guidance of AUS U19 Men's Head Coach Chris Todd (NSW Phoenix Head Coach), Killian and Jett finished 4th in the tournament, that ensures their qualification for the U19 World Championships in China, starting in late August.
The NSW pair took an undefeated record into the semi-finals where they were edged out by third seeds and eventual champions, AmirAli GhalehNovi and AkbarzadehKashani from Iran. The second seeds then faced local team Rueangrit Wiromrat and Suranath Rattanapolsaen who were two strong in three sets.
Two other Phoenix athletes flew the flag proudly for NSW. Adam Fejes and his partner Finley Bennett (SA) finished in a share of ninth place in the men’s competition, while Mireille Smith and her partner Lara Maric (QLD) were equal 17th in the women’s.
