NSW Success at Canberra ABVT Event!
The Australian Beach Volleyball Tour (ABVT) returned to Canberra for its exciting Round 2 event, bringing fierce competition and exceptional talent to the capital. NSW athletes were once again at the forefront, showcasing their skills and determination on the sand.
A standout performance came from NSW Beach Olympian Izac Carracher. Fresh off his Olympic debut, Izac, alongside his partner Mark (QLD), returned to the Aussie sand and delivered a strong display of why they are among Australia’s top men’s beach athletes. Despite a tough three-set battle in the gold medal match against fellow Volleyroos, Izac and Mark proved they are a force to be reckoned with. Their performance shows that we can expect to see them on the podium throughout the rest of the Aussie summer beach season and beyond.
In the Challenger division, NSW Phoenix athletes Lucas Fletcher and Sebastian Morandi Galindo earned a silver medal after an impressive showing over the weekend. State Tour and ABVT events offer a fantastic opportunity for Phoenix Academy athletes to hone their skills and gain valuable match experience against some of Australia’s best beach volleyball players ahead of Youth and Junior Beach Championship events. We look forward to watching their continued development on the tour throughout the season.
