As our sport continues to grow and evolve, so do our plans to accommodate this! In 2026 and beyond we look to grow our sport and provide more playing opportunities for all levels.  

After an extensive SVL review process Volleyball NSW and the SVL Advisory group, together with members of our community, have developed a plan to elevate our current SVL competition. The prosposed changes aim at providing a an appropriate level of compeition playing opportunties for all participants. The changes will see three tiers of volleyball leagues competition, each designed to cater for a particlualr playing demopgrahic. 

• Providing top levels of competition in an organised and structured domestic league​

• Providing competition opportunities for top tier athletes, coaches and officials in NSW​

• Enhancing the visibility of the sport through branding, sponsorship and promotion of the league​

• Providing a good quality level of Volleyball competition throughout NSW​

• Facilitating the development of clubs, administrators, players, coaches and officials through competition​

• Setting up basic structures and resources for clubs to run and fundraise through social competitions​

• Introducing the basic skills of Volleyball to interested participants

Key Changes for the 2025 season that you need to know!

• Division 1-3 restructured in 2025 with division 4 removed
• Removal of division 3 in 2026
• 13 week competition with 3 week series for finals
• Maximum two team limit per club in each div
• Updated promotion and relegation process for 2025
