Over the Christmas break, Volleyball NSW has learnt of the passing of Noel Drew.  Noel was a significant contributor to our sport, especially in the Schools system as a coach and administrator. 

Noel’s achievements include:

• Coaching for over 40 years, starting and Northmead High School and then primarily at Baulkham Hills High School.
• Attended countless events, including 15 Combined High Schools Championships
• Attended the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup 34 times
• He is a Life Member of Sydney West
• 1996 became a Life Member of School Sport Australia for his contribution to Volleyball
• 2005 received a Distinguished Service Award from Volleyball Australia
• 2018 Baulkham Hills High School renamed their stadium as the Noel Drew Gymnasium

Noel created the foundations for countless athletes including State and National representative players and ensured that all who he coached learnt the love of Volleyball. 

Volleyball NSW and the entire extended Volleyball family send our deepest condolences to Noel’s family and thank Noel for all he has done for our sport.
