As athletes get their sand legs it is time to start thinking about the Youth Beach Phoenix State Team.

This year selections will be made prior to the Christmas/New Year holiday so all athletes interested in representing NSW at AYBVC must engage in the following activities.

Athletes attending VA NDP camp in Toowoomba MUST engage with the Maroubra trial and

also play in the Youth Beach Championships on Sunday, December 17^th as their trial. 

November 5^th Maroubra Trial

This is the only Sydney-based trial activity

This activity will be a structured trial for athletes with on-court skills evaluation, performance metrics, and game-style education. Athletes will learn about what game style and skills will be expected from them at their age and will be given an opportunity to develop their skills under those guidelines.

Attendees will also go through a battery of tests to measure their jump heights, speed, and anthropometric measurements for talent identification purposes.

Maroubra Beach – please arrive 15 minutes before your time slot.

December 15^th/16^th Squad Camp @ Wonoona Beach

This two-day activity in Woonona will be a combination of skill, game system, and competition development with selection happening after the camp. Athletes will train within their age groups under the guidance of State Team coaches. This two-day camp will also prepare athletes to compete in the Youth Beach State Championships the following day.

Volleyball Australia Toowoomba NDP Camp Athletes must request an exemption from this activity and are expected to play in the December 17^th Youth Beach Championships.

December 16/17^th Youth Beach State Championships @ Wonoona Beach

The inaugural Championships will be a two-day competition with Saturday consisting of seeding pool play and Sunday being Championship rounds. Teams will have a guaranteed number of matches across the weekend.

Registration will be available on Friday 3rd of November.
