Indoor Phoenix Coach Application

Thank you for your interest in applying for a coaching position with the Indoor Phoenix program.

Trial Dates:

Junior Phoenix (U19-U23): 5th, 12th, 26th April and 3rd May 2025

Youth Phoenix (U14-U18): 17th, 24th, 31st May and 14th, 21st, 28th June 2025

Senior Phoenix: Program starts in June 2025

Important Dates:

Australian Junior Volleyball Championships (AJVC): Adelaide, 10th - 13th July 2025

Australian Youth Volleyball Championships (AYVC): Perth, 21st - 26th September 2025

Mahindra Australian Volleyball Super League (AVSL):

20th - 21st September 2025

28th September 2025 (Home)

4th - 5th October 2025

11th October 2025 (Home)

18th - 19th October 2025

25th - 26th October 2025

1st - 2nd November 2025

Requirements to be considered for appointment:

Coaching Accreditation: Hold a minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation or be willing to obtain it prior to the championships.

Trial Attendance: Attend all trial and training sessions where possible. If you know there are dates you are unavailable throughout the program, please include these when submitting your application.

Working With Children’s Check: Hold a current Working with Children’s Check.

Safeguarding Course: Complete the SIA Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction Course.

Additional Training: May be required to complete additional training, such as Child Safety.

Applications will be assessed by VNSW Staff.

Positions will be filled on a rolling basis. All junior team coaches and youth positions are planned to be finalised by the end of March 2025 (considering we have the first trials on 5th of April).

Coaches who receive an offer of selection must follow the instructions contained in their selection email by the due date to secure their position in the Phoenix Team.
